Why You Might Need an Infertility Ultrasound?

An infertility ultrasound is essential for diagnosing various factors that can affect fertility, such as:

Uterine abnormalities: Detecting issues like fibroids, polyps, or septums that can interfere with conception or pregnancy.
Ovarian health:  Identifying ovarian cysts and measuring the antral follicle count, which helps assess egg reserves.
-Monitoring response to medication: If you’re undergoing fertility treatments, ultrasounds help track how your ovaries respond to stimulation medications and when your eggs are ready for retrieval.

This diagnostic tool provides crucial information for creating a personalized fertility plan tailored to your unique needs.

When Should You Get an Infertility Ultrasound?

An infertility ultrasound is recommended in several situations, including:

– Before starting fertility treatment: Establishing a baseline of your reproductive health can help guide your care.
– If you’re having trouble conceiving: If you’ve been trying to conceive for 6 months to a year without success, an ultrasound can help identify potential causes.
– During fertility treatments: Regular ultrasounds ensure that fertility medications are working as intended and help time procedures like egg retrieval or insemination.

By offering these ultrasounds at affordable rates, we aim to make high-quality fertility care accessible to everyone. Contact us today to schedule your scan and take the next step in your fertility journey.

How is a fertility ultrasound scan performed?

This type of fertility test uses specialized imaging technology. Ultrasound works by sending sound waves into the body to create detailed images of internal organs.  For a transvaginal ultrasound, an ultrasound technologist uses a thin wand-shaped device. The wand (transducer) is gently inserted two to three inches into the vagina to capture images of the uterus and ovaries, which are displayed on a monitor. This procedure is typically not painful, and many women find it more comfortable than a routine Pap smear.
