Do you offer HD-Live 5D ultrasounds?
Yes! We are thrilled that we have GE’s latest ultrasound technology to share amazing images of your baby. The image clarity/resolution is unparalleled. Please visit our 5D image gallery.
What if a problem is seen during the ultrasound exam?
Your doctor will be notified at once. That is why it is so important to choose a facility that hires experienced sonographers that are licensed through the (ARDMS) American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Ask to SEE the license of the person that is performing your ultrasound. Some facilities CLAIM to use licensed sonographers.
Do I need an appointment?
In most cases no, but it is best to make an appointment to alleviate the wait. We do offer same day appointments and walk-ins. We recommend that you schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks in advance, if a Saturday or Sunday appointment is needed.
Can I bring family and friends?
Yes. In fact, we encourage our clients to invite family and friends to attend the elective Ultrasound sessions. This is a joyous and wonderful experience, one that can be shared with your family and loved ones. We can comfortably accommodate 7-8 people in our viewing area but we don’t discourage more.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear a comfortable two piece outfit. If wearing a dress please bring a pair of shorts to slip on.
Are you able to tell the sex/gender of the baby?
Yes, in most cases we can provide an indication of the sex of the baby as early as 14 weeks (if you are a full figured mother please don’t schedule your appointment until 15wks). We can’t guarantee that the baby will cooperate during your session. Certain factors such as body tissue content, developmental stage and fetal position all affect the ability to determine sex. If that is the case we will have you to return at NO additional charge.
Do you take insurance?
We are NOW excepting insurance for our diagnostic ultrasounds we are in network with Cigna, Traditional Medicaid and Medicare. We are applying daily to get in network with other companies. Elective (gender, 3d/4d ultrasounds will NOT be covered by insurance. Elective ultrasounds are not intended to be a replacement for your doctor ordered diagnostic ultrasounds, you will need to pay the cost for this ultrasound as an out of pocket expense. We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards.
What can I do to get the BEST pictures?
DRINK PLENTY OF WATER!!! If you don’t normally drink water daily you should consider doing so beginning at least 2-3 days before your scheduled appointment. Hydration can significantly improve the clarity of an ultrasound. Expectant mothers that are full-figured should consider scheduling their 4D ultrasound between 28 and 32 weeks of pregnancy, as the ultrasound tends to be clearer and the results more desirable and comparable to the images in our picture gallery.
What is your cancellation, no show policy?
Ultraview Imaging has a flexible and fair cancellation policy. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment for any reason, we ask that you please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Ultraview Imaging reserves the right to charge a $25.00 no show fee for clients who cancel less than 24-hours on weekdays and $50 on Saturday & Sunday.
